Transpose
Transpose / Capo Helper
Can't sing that high? Want to use a capo to dodge those barre chords? Paste in a chord progression and it works it out for you in real time.
Two ways to use it:
- Transpose directly: raise or lower the whole song by a few semitones to fit your range. For example, C down 3 semitones = the key of A.
- Capo → left-hand position: the song stays in its original key, but with a capo on, your left hand plays easier open-chord shapes.
Separate chords with spaces or line breaks, slash basses too (e.g. D/F♯). In the results, ✦ marks hard chords that “usually need a barre.”

Capo tips: make hard keys easy
Keys like Eb / Ab / Bb / Db are all barre chords in open position. Pick the song's actual key and we'll suggest a capo position so your left hand can use the easy open shapes of C / G / D / A / E.
